Which set should I give to someone who has never built one?
One with fewer than 2,000 pieces, at beginner or intermediate level: the flowers, small cars or Pokémon figures can be built in one or two afternoons. Better something they really like than something very big.
And for someone who already collects?
Large-format sets with over 3,000 pieces are projects of several weeks and real display pieces. If they already have sets from a saga, look in that collection: Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings.
What age are they for?
They are designed mainly for adults and ages 14 and up. They contain small parts, so they are not suitable for children under 3.
Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
Delivery takes 15-21 days, and many orders arrive sooner. For it to arrive by Christmas Eve, order before 3 December; for Epiphany (6 January), before 16 December. If you have a specific date in mind, write to us before you buy.
Are they compatible with LEGO?
Yes. They use the standard brick system, with the same dimensions, and fit with the pieces they already have. Star Brick does not sell LEGO products and has no relationship with LEGO: these are sets from independent makers.
Do they come in a gift box?
Not always. Many sets arrive in sealed bags instead of a printed box: the contents are the same and the price is better. If it's a gift, plan to wrap it yourself.
Do they come with instructions?
Yes, the pieces come sorted in bags with their instruction manual. If anything is ever missing, write to us and we'll sort it out.
Can I ship it directly to the recipient?
Yes. At checkout, enter their name and address as the shipping address.
What if they don't like it?
You have 14 days from delivery to return it, ideally unbuilt: a built set may get a reduced refund. Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless the set arrives faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. We explain everything in Returns.
